Do you require a deposit to reserve my order?

Yes. Your order becomes reserved only when this cake contract is drawn up, signed, and 50% booking retainer is received. In the event the cake is booked less than two weeks in advance 100% of the payment is required. The retainer is paid to reserve your date and is NON-REFUNDABLE in the event of a cancellation. Payments can be made by CashApp, Zelle, check or cash. Cash only accepted in person. Please DO NOT mail cash. Checks can be made payable to: Double O Cake Design. Cake orders are reserved on a first come first serve basis as I only do a limited number of cakes per week. However, if you need to change dates or move your event, please call me and I'll be happy to make accommodating arrangements based on availability.

When is my final payment due?

The final balance is due two weeks before the event date. If your cake is ordered less than two weeks before the event date, the total amount is due immediately. All payment must be received 2 weeks prior to the event, or your cakes will not be made.

Can I rent Items?

Yes, a deposit may be required for your rented items and will only be refunded after items have been returned in the same condition they were rented. Please return any rentals; stands, plates, brooches or other decor to Double O Cake Design no later than two weeks after your event.

Can I make changes to my cake order?

Changes to your cake order: size, description, flavors, etc. will be accepted until 2 weeks prior to the event date. After that lockout date, no changes will be accepted. 

Do you offer delivery and set-up?

Delivery and setup is required for all wedding cakes and for some multiple tier special occasion cakes. Delivery is a minimum of $50 for the first 30 miles from Double O Cake Design and $2 for every additional mile. If you prefer to pick up your cake, please contact us to make arrangements beforehand and we are not responsible for the cake once it leaves our location.

 What is your cancellation policy?

Cake orders cancelled prior to the 14 days of your event will be refunded up to 50% of balance paid. The 50% retainer will not be refunded. Cakes cancelled less than 14 days of your event date will not be refunded. In the event that something occurs to affect your scheduled event date, please contact me to discuss possible options. I understand things can come up that are out of our control; I will work hard to accommodate you.

NOTE: Orders placed are subject to date availability. Your order is not confirmed until we confirm the date and get back to you.

I promise to do everything in my power to deliver you a cake that hopefully exceeds your expectations. I will work with you on every level to make sure you are completely satisfied and happy with your cake. Please note that colors and design of actual cake may vary slightly from computer mock-up due to the nature of digital and edible components. Double O Cake Design cannot be held responsible for anything that should happen to the cake once delivery and or setup is complete. Please note that direct sunlight and temperatures of 75 degrees and higher may have drastic and adverse effects on any cake.
